1. Promoter This competition is run by Joe Bootes Driver Training, Washington, Tyne & Wear.2. Eligibility
Open to UK residents aged 17+ who hold a valid provisional driving licence.
Manual car only.
New learners only (not currently taking lessons with Joe Bootes Driver Training).
Entrants must live in NE37, NE38, SR5 or DH4.
Only one entry per person (bonus entries allowed where stated).
3. How to Enter To enter, participants must complete all required actions stated in the competition post. Bonus entry methods (e.g., sharing to story) are optional.4. Competition Period The competition opens on the date/time of the post and closes on the date/time stated. Entries received after the closing date will not be counted.5. Prize Details
The winner will receive 20 hours of driving lessons, worth £820.
Lessons are delivered as 2 × 2‑hour sessions per week over 5 weeks.
Lessons are subject to availability and scheduled directly with the instructor.
No cash alternative is available.
Prize is non‑transferable and cannot be gifted, sold, or exchanged.
6. Winner Requirements The winner must:
Begin their lessons within 30 days of being notified.
Complete the 20 hours within 5 weeks.
Complete the standard onboarding process (contact details, licence check, availability).
Follow all safety instructions and lesson guidelines.
Remain a follower of the page for the duration of the prize.
7. Lesson Scheduling
Lessons take place Monday to Friday only.
Lesson times are subject to instructor availability.
Missed or cancelled lessons may be forfeited at the instructor’s discretion.
The instructor reserves the right to reschedule lessons where necessary.
8. Runner‑Up Offer
Up to 10 runner‑up discounts are available.
Runner‑ups receive £100 off a 10‑hour block (standard £310 → £210).
Offer must be claimed within 30 days.
Lessons are subject to availability.
9. Test Fees The prize does not include DVSA theory or practical test fees. The winner is responsible for booking and paying for their own tests.10. Instructor Rights Joe Bootes Driver Training reserves the right to:
Withdraw the prize if the winner fails to start within 30 days.
End the prize if the winner behaves in a way that is unsafe or inappropriate.
Verify eligibility and refuse entries that do not meet the rules.
11. Winner Selection & Announcement
The winner will be chosen at random from all valid entries.
The winner will be contacted via Facebook/Instagram message.
If the winner does not respond within 72 hours, a new winner may be selected.
The winner may be announced publicly on social media.
12. Publicity By entering, participants agree that their name may be used in the winner announcement. The winner may be asked (but not required) to allow progress updates or a pass photo to be shared.13. Data Protection Personal data will only be used for administering the competition and onboarding the winner. Data will not be shared with third parties.14. Promoter Liability The promoter accepts no responsibility for:
Incomplete or failed entries
Technical issues
Cancellations due to weather or vehicle maintenance
15. Acceptance of Terms By entering the competition, participants agree to these Terms & Conditions.
Terms & Conditions
Reference to booking of sessions. All sessions last 2 hours and charged accordingly. If a student can only utilise less than the full session then, the full session price is still applicable. The only exception being an agreed notice given 48 hours to management prior to the booked session. Should we be required to implement a reduction of session time ourselves, then the above terms will be void for that period.
